The soccer field built by Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been certified by FIFA.

Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman Mr. Dilesh Nguwaya, Minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Kirsty Coventry, and the Deputy Minister Emily Jesaya attended the opening ceremony.

The Deputy Minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture Emily Jesaya commended Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd for turning the formerly inhabitable Pomona dump site into an amazing place.

“Who would have thought that we would be here to witness this state-of-the-art soccer field being certified fit and meeting international standards, from what used to be a dumpsite? I see two basketball courts and two tennis courts right here next to the soccer field. All I can say is “Well done”. As the Ministry of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture you have our full support,” she said.

HATKO executed this extensive project as a full turn-key project, where we produced and installed a full size football pitch with our SPINE TURF S system, as well as two acrylic basketball courts and two acrylic tennis courts.
